1. Select Tools > Product Management from the left navigation menu.

2. In the Product Management Filters panel of the Product Management dialog, you can search for F&I products based on their status and by dealer group/dealer:

Search for F&I products by their status. An Active product is one that is still offered by your dealership. A Retired product is one that has been removed from the F&I product list.
Dealer Group
Select the dealer group. A dealer group is a conglomerate of more than one car dealership.
Dealer
Select the car dealership within the dealer group.

3. After you enter information in the Product Management Filters panel, CGW populates the dialog with the F&I products offered by your dealership. You have several options at this point:

Change

Click this button to the right of an F&I product that you want to change. A dialog appears that allows you to make changes to the product in CGW. You can change product attributes, such as:
  • Product Name
  • Report Header Entry: The product name that is displayed in the report header for this product.
  • OK for Commercial Use? Indicate if this product can be offered to commercial buyers.
  • Can the product be removed from any menu template? To remain in compliance, a dealership must offer every customer that is buying a vehicle the same set of products to avoid discrimination against the customer. However, certain customers may not qualify for certain products. For example, if a customer is 65 years old or older, they may not qualify for credit life insurance. Selecting this option gives you the flexibility to remove certain products from menu templates in cases where a customer may not qualify for a product.
  • Is Product Taxed? / Tax Rate: Enter the final tax rate of the municipality in which the dealership is selling the vehicle. Note: CGW currently does not honor the tax rate of the buying customer’s municipality, if it is different.
  • Deal Type: Your options are Finance, Cash, Lease, and Product Only.
  • Vehicle Type: Your options are New and Used.
This dialog varies by product type. The following dialog allows you to change product attributes for the “etch” product.
When you have finished with your changes, click Save.
